High School of the Future
After perusing through the required sites on Bloglines, I came across a pretty cool concept that I had to investigate further on Scobleizer's Tech Geek Blogger. Apparently in the heart of Silicon Valley and San Diego there are schools that are completely centered around helping kids learn old lessons strictly through new age technologies. What makes this article/high school even more interesting is that these schools are public. That is right folks, it is completely government funded! I believe that helping students engage in their work through the use of today's technologies is a great way to build core academic necessities. Today kids are so withdrawn from the course work and are often at a disconnect with the whole learning process. This school is seeking to change all of that. It even has 100% placement rate into college. Ask yourself this question: when has a traditional public school even achieved that?! Check out High Tech High School for a direct link to the schools main web page.

Wiki Edit: Manuel Antonio National Park
Today I attempted my first ever Wikipedia edit. I decided to start with my favorite beach/park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio. This small beach town is composed of two seperate beaches and a beautiful national park. I decided to start off by just adding a little to the biodiversity content and see where that takes me. I contributed to the body of the paragraph with the addition of the fact that Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica's smallest national park, but full of different species of tropical animals. I was told this by our tour guide in Costa Rica, as well as witnessed it first hand. I then verified this fact on a variety of different national websites. There is a lot more I want to add to this site in the future so stay tuned! In the mean time, check out the article for some warm and sunny pictures!

I am one of the lucky students who gets the chance to explore the world of marketing through a blogger's eyes. Along with my BUAD 477 class, I will be on a mission to understand the vast potential a blog can bring to a company and their marketing campaigns. Hopefully Professor Brown will be patient seeing how I am anything but a pro at computer things! :) Check out our class site. It is full of good stuff. Ciao!
